Holiday Home Tour Overnight Package

Visit four private Grand Bend homes and an historic church all decked out for the holidays! Professional decorators, florists and garden centers will transform these homes and Huron Shores United Church into a festive wonderland, inside and out. The tour is open Friday November 16 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturday November 17 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday November 18 from 12 noon to 4:00 PM.

A special tree lighting ceremony, Light Up Grand Bend, takes place November 16th beginning at 5:30 PM at the Optimist Park, Main St. E and Gill Rd. On Saturday November 17, the Pine Dale is pleased to host a Holiday Bazaar from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. More than 15 vendors will be here with unique gifts and services perfect for holiday giving. Pinery Oaks Show Their Colour This Weekend

The fall colours last a little longer in the Grand Bend area. Pinery Provincial Park, 15 km south of Grand Bend, is home to rare and beautiful Oak Savannah. Pinery Provincial Park protects almost 50 percent of the world’s remaining Oak Savannah. The oak trees typically turn to their fall red and burnt orange colours at the beginning of November. They are right on schedule this year. Colours will be at their peak this coming weekend, November 9-11. The weather forecast predicts sunny and cool weather for Sunday.

Pinery Provincial Park passes are available to Pine Dale guests (limited quantity, first-come-first-served.) Stay with us overnight and spend the day on any of the 10 walking trails available for exploring throughout the Pinery. Five trails have an accompanying trail guide, and three are wheelchair accessible. A trail-ready wheelchair, donated by the Friends of Pinery Park, is available to borrow from rentals, free of charge.
